COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – The Veterans Affairs Department has narrowed the list of possible sites for a new national cemetery in southern Colorado to two locations in El Paso County.
Colorado Republican congressman Doug Lamborn said Tuesday both sites are southeast of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport.
A final decision is expected by the end of this year. Construction would not start until after 12 to 15 months of designing.
