CBS Denver: Curator Says Van Gogh Exhibit Is Not To Be Missed Aug 16th 2012, 15:40 CBS Denver CBSDenver.com - News for Colorado and Denver from CBS4, plus Sports, Weather, Traffic and Top Spots Curator Says Van Gogh Exhibit Is Not To Be Missed Aug 16th 2012, 15:37 DENVER (CBS4) – The Denver Art Museum is now selling tickets to an exclusive exhibit you will only find in Denver. “Becoming Van Gogh” features 90 works of art, 75 of which are gathered from private collections and museums across the world. Timothy Standring, a curator for the event, told CBS4 the exhibit is not to be missed. “Visitors will leave the exhibition saying I never knew that Van Gogh was as rich a painter and as deep and wide as as we see with all of these objects,” Standring said. At Wednesday’s kickoff event outside the museum children rolled up their slevees and dug through a pile of hay in hopes of finding tickets to the exhibit and other fun prizes. Some patients with down sydrome for the Children’s Hospital also came out for the fun.
