RED FEATHER LAKES, Colo. (AP) – Firefighters are battling a small wildfire burning in northern Colorado near the Wyoming border.
The Roach Fire was estimated to be burning on between 60 and 75 acres Tuesday in northwest Larimer County in the Roosevelt National Forest. No structures are threatened.
A twenty-person crew and five fire engines are fighting the blaze, which is about 3 miles from the Wyoming line. Four air tankers, including one large plane, and 60 more firefighters are expected to arrive Tuesday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
