BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) – Police say the man set merchandise on fire and threatened customers in a Walmart in Broomfield on Monday.

Around 1:46 p.m. Broomfield police and North Metro Fire Rescue were dispatched to a report of a possible menacing as well as visible flames inside the Walmart located in the 4600 block of West 121st Avenue.

“Responding officers took a 28-year-old Broomfield man into custody without incident,” police said in a statement. “Initial investigation revealed the male set some clothes on fire in the store and threatened two shoppers with a knife.”

No injuries were reported and there wasn’t much damage to the store.

Police are still investigating and haven’t released more details.
